Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of the Van-X EU website and the purchase of products and services from us. By using this Website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms.

 

1. Orders and Contract Formation

All orders placed with us are treated as an offer to purchase goods. A contract is only formed once your order has been accepted and dispatched. After placing an order, you will receive an order confirmation email, followed by a dispatch confirmation.

You may review and amend your order at any point before it is submitted. Once submitted, if you need to make any changes, please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to assist before the order is processed.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order if products are unavailable, if there are errors in pricing or descriptions, or if fraud or unauthorised activity is suspected.

 

2. Eligibility

By placing an order, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old

You are legally capable of entering into a contract.

 

3. Pricing and Payment

All prices are displayed in EUR (€) and include VAT (where applicable). Payment must be received in full before any goods are dispatched. We do not accept cheques or cash payments. Where other payment options are offered, these are subject to their own terms. Shipping costs are clearly shown at checkout.

We reserve the right to correct pricing errors and cancel affected orders.

 

4. Delivery

All orders delivered by our carriers will require a signature upon receipt. If delivery cannot be completed, depending on the courier’s procedures, your parcel may be taken to a local depot or parcel shop for collection. Please check any correspondence, tracking updates, or delivery notifications received from the courier if you believe you may have missed your delivery.

Orders are processed and dispatched on the next working day following receipt of the order. Orders placed after 2:00pm, on weekends, or on Bank Holidays will be processed on the next business day.

Delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. While we make every effort to ensure prompt delivery, we cannot be held responsible for delays caused by couriers or circumstances beyond our control.

Responsibility for the goods passes to you upon delivery, although we remain responsible for them until they reach you.

If delivery is significantly delayed, you may have the right to cancel your order.

6. Product Information and Compatibility


We make every effort to ensure product descriptions and specifications are accurate.

However, the products are aftermarket accessories, not original manufacturer parts unless otherwise stated. All compatibility information is for guidance only, please contact us at info@van-x.de if you need help with this.

It is your responsibility to ensure suitability for your vehicle before purchase, therefore we are not liable for incorrect installation, any misuse of the product or if the product is not compatible where reasonable product information was provided.

 

7. Consumer Rights

If you are an EU consumer, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days without giving a reason. The cancellation period ends 14 days after you, or someone on your behalf, receives the goods.

To exercise this right, you must notify us by email or in writing. You may use the standard EU withdrawal form, but this is not required.

If you cancel your order, we will refund all payments received, including standard delivery costs. Refunds are issued within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or proof of return, using the original payment method.

Returned goods must be sent back within 14 days of cancellation. Unless the item is faulty, you are responsible for return shipping costs. Items must be returned in their original condition, and you may be liable for any loss in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the goods.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to custom-made or modified vehicle parts, items that have been installed or used beyond inspection, or sealed goods opened after delivery where hygiene protections apply.


 

8. Warranty and Legal Guarantee

Under EU law, all goods are covered by a minimum 2-year legal guarantee. If a product is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund.

We may request proof of purchase and evidence of the defect before processing a claim.

 

9. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any rights you are entitled to under applicable law. We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable at the time the contract was formed, or for business losses where you are acting as a consumer. We are also not liable for damage caused by improper installation, misuse, or unauthorised modifications to a product, or for any loss resulting from vehicle downtime.

10. Events Outside Our Control

We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our control, including:

  • Severe weather
  • Supply chain disruption
  • Industrial action
  • Government restrictions

 

11. Vehicle Modifications Disclaimer

Certain products may alter the appearance, functionality, or performance of a vehicle and may require professional installation. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the installation and use of any product complies with all applicable local laws, regulations, and vehicle standards within their jurisdiction, and to notify their insurer where required. We accept no liability for any legal non-compliance, penalties, or issues arising from the installation or use of our products.
